The material requirements for trademark complaints on Taobao (Alibaba IPP) and Pinduoduo are essentially the same, in three categories—entity materials, ownership materials, and infringement materials. Preparing them in advance lets you pass ownership recordal in one go, after which link-by-link complaints are fast.
1. Entity Qualification Materials
- Complaints by companies: a scanned copy of the business license;
- Complaints by individuals: front and back of the ID card;
- Complaints by an agency or lawyer: attach a power of attorney and the representative's credentials.
2. Trademark Ownership Materials
- Trademark registration certificate (the core document, which must be within its term);
- Where transfer, change, or renewal has occurred, attach the corresponding certificates so that the registration information matches the recording entity;
- Where the complaining entity is not the registrant (e.g., a licensee), attach the trademark license contract or authorization documents;
- Where asserting well-known trademark protection, attach well-knownness recognition records or fame evidence.
3. Infringement Evidence Materials
- A list of infringing product links (pasted one by one);
- Screenshots of the infringing pages, marking where the infringing sign appears;
- Trademark comparison statement: a comparison analysis of the infringing sign and the registered trademark in text, pronunciation, and graphics;
- For counterfeit-goods complaints: a genuine-versus-fake comparison statement or authentication report after a notarized purchase is recommended—this is the key to a high pass rate for counterfeit complaints;
- For store names or titles abusing the trademark: capture the store-name and title pages.
Common Rejection Reasons
Rejections mostly involve: the registration certificate inconsistent with the complaining entity without authorization attached, the wrong ground chosen (choosing keyword abuse for a counterfeit complaint), illegible infringing signs in screenshots, or dead links. After rejection, correct per the platform's prompts and refile—resubmission is allowed without consuming complaint-count limits. With materials kept long-term in the platform account, you can complain against new links whenever routine monitoring finds them.
4. Service Entry
If you are unsure about the above, you may first arrange trademark monitoring on MyTMBee, and a filed trademark agent will give an analysis before you act.
