After a company rename or move, the registrant's name/address on all trademarks must be updated (filing a change with CNIPA). Skipping it blocks later renewals, assignments and enforcement — and ALL marks under the name must change together, no cherry-picking.

FAQ
What if I don't update the marks after a rename?
Trademark records mismatch the license: renewals and assignments may be refused, your standing may be challenged in enforcement, and others may initiate proceedings (e.g. non-use claims).
Several marks under my name — change just one?
No. CNIPA requires all marks under the registrant to change together. We check the full list first to avoid rejection for omissions.
Is an address change also required?
Yes. A registered-address change must also be filed with CNIPA, or official mail may go missing and you could miss response deadlines.
How is it billed?
Per filing, covering the change official fee and service fee. For multiple marks changed together, we confirm the total by mark count before ordering.
