FAQ
What does the fee include? Any mid-process surcharges?
One price covering the CNIPA official fee and system service fee — no later surcharges. A refusal review, if needed, is a separate service billed separately.
Refund if registration fails?
The CNIPA official fee is non-refundable once paid. Pre-filing format checks reduce errors, but the outcome is decided by CNIPA and cannot be guaranteed.
Self-service vs advisor filing?
Self-service means you fill in and the system only validates format — no similarity risk assessment or class planning. For one-on-one class planning and risk prediction, choose advisor registration.
Can individuals register trademarks?
Yes, with a personal ID card plus a sole-proprietor business license, and the goods must relate to the sole proprietor's business scope.
What do I need to do in the process?
Just fill in online, upload material photos, and check/sign the application form. Filing and progress tracking are handled by the system, with status visible anytime.
